Troubleshooting
Rest-timer or reminder notifications aren’t firing. Spot uses scheduled local notifications. Make sure notifications are enabled for Spot in your device settings, and that battery optimization isn’t aggressively killing the app in the background.
My data isn’t syncing. Spot is local-first — every set you log is saved on your device immediately, so your data is safe even offline. It syncs to your account once you’re online and signed in. Check your connection and that you’re signed in under your account.
The daily brief or progress verdict looks out of date. These refresh after you log a new session or edit your plan. Reopen the tab to pull the latest; the coach intentionally doesn’t re-write itself on every little change.
Exercise demos or images won’t load. Demonstration media is fetched on demand and needs a connection. Reconnect and reopen the exercise.
Sign-in trouble. If a session expires, fully close and reopen the app to refresh your login. If it persists, sign out and back in.
Known issues
- iOS isn’t available yet. Spot is Android-first; the iOS build is in progress.
- The rest-end alarm can’t pause music playing in another app — that’s a platform limitation we can’t override.
- On some Android skins, aggressive battery savers can delay background reminders. Allowlisting Spot fixes it.
